I have two exciting events this year that I am melding into a great opportunity for my colleagues in the experience and live entertainment fields.

I will be co-chairing a panel at ILMC, the International Live Music Conference, on March 5 in London with Lucy Levitt, business development manager at UK promoter Kilimanjaro Live. ILMC is the leading annual gathering of professionals involved in the global touring, festival and live entertainment industries. Our aim with this panel is to explore the key developments and brightest new spectacles across touring exhibitions, pop culture, and family shows.

Then, on the first weekend of May, I’ve organized TEEM, The Experience Economy Meeting, in Los Angeles. This was formerly called the Touring Exhibitions Meeting (TEM) but I felt that “touring exhibitions” no longer encompasses the breadth of experiences being produced. So it is now TEEM, a conference and marketplace enabling delegates to make connections with a global network of decision makers from businesses ranging from touring exhibitions, immersive experiences like escape rooms or virtual reality spaces, pop up attractions, immersive movie and theatre experiences – in short: ticketed experiences that audiences can step inside.

Here we will also have a panel that will pick up on the themes discussed in London, creating a fantastic intercontinental partnership of ILMC and TEEM. I see this double panel as a chance for some of you who are leaders in our field to get involved as panelists or participants.

Showbis Culture

Please reach out to me if you would like to suggest a topic, join my panel, recommend a speaker, or showcase your production. I’d love to hear from folks working in touring exhibtions, immersive experiences, comic cons, film music concerts, family shows, musicals, and other popular culture live entertainment. Send me an email at schlzchrstphsmmld.

I look forward to seeing everyone in London from March 4-6 and/or LA from September 24-26 (new date). There will be great opportunies for all attendees. See you this spring!
